This year’s Round the Island Race is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. Entry uptake has already surpassed 2025 at this time, reflecting the growing excitement and enduring appeal of this iconic event. With thousands of sailors expected to take on the famous 50-nautical-mile course around the Isle of Wight, the spectacle on the water promises to be truly unforgettable.
Onshore, the Race Village will be larger than before, offering an expanded programme of entertainment, hospitality, and activities for sailors and spectators alike. The atmosphere is set to be vibrant from start to finish, as competitors, supporters, and visitors come together to celebrate one of the UK’s premier sailing occasions. The Island Sailing Club will be hosting members and guests with prime views of the start and finish, along with a lively programme of hospitality designed to make the most of the occasion. From breakfast through to post-race celebrations, the club will be at the heart of the action. And, as always, we’ll be keeping our fingers firmly crossed that the weather is in our favour — a fair breeze and a touch of sunshine would make for the perfect day on the water.
