The summer is not over yet, but as the sailing season begins to wind down, the Island Sailing Club is gearing up for another fantastic winter of events, talks, entertainment and good times. And importantly, the Club is open throughout the winter, so there is no need to hibernate!
There is plenty happening over the coming months, with the ever-popular Tuesday Night Talks returning to provide an entertaining and varied programme of speakers, stories and insights. From sailing and adventure to fascinating people and subjects from beyond the water, there will be something to interest everyone.
The festive season will also be a highlight, with a packed programme of Christmas events, including the much-loved Carol Service, bringing members together for a traditional start to the celebrations.
As the year draws to a close, we’ll then raise a glass to the year that was, 2026. Following the success and popularity of The Taittinger Champagne event held on the Friday of Cowes Week a similar event will be held on New Years Eve from 1830hrs – 1745hrs, – another great opportunity to enjoy the Club, catch up with fellow members before heading out to bring in the New Year!
With a busy calendar of events, talks, social occasions and festive celebrations, there really is something for everyone. Some events will be ticketed, while others are organised by external event organisers, giving members and guests an even greater variety of opportunities to enjoy the Club.
But ultimately, the success of the winter programme comes down to one thing – attendance. These events only work when people turn up, get involved and enjoy them. So check the calendar, book your tickets where required, bring your guests and make the most of the Island Sailing Club this winter.
The Club is open, the programme is packed, and we look forward to seeing you!
