The Island Sailing Club is delighted to announce that HRH the Princess Royal has kindly agreed to become our new Patron following in the footsteps of her mother and father, the late Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.
Commenting on the announcement our Commodore, Tim Devlin, said: “The club is looking forward to welcoming the Princess Royal to one of our events next year” adding, “it is a delight for the members that Her Royal Highness has decided to continue the royal patronage of our club.” The club is very grateful to our Admiral, Maj Gen Sir Martin White, the former Lord Lieutenant of the Island, for his help and advice in bringing about this very favourable appointment.
The Princess Royal will act as patron for an initial period of three years
