With six rooms to choose from, catering for parties of eight people up to 180 people, the Island Sailing Club is the perfect venue for any type of function or event. Rooms range from small, intimate dining, and meeting rooms; through to large marquees and alfresco areas for social events. We can offer exclusive use of any area of the Club to suit your needs, from the most formal to the most relaxed of occasions. For daytime, evening, weekday, and weekend events, we offer a range of catering packages all while enjoying arguably the best view in Cowes.
Our friendly team offer exceptional customer service, working hard to meet your every need. We can provide table/seating plans, specific menu options and ticketed events, which our team can help to advertise and sell. The Club is also fully wheelchair accessible.
We also offer a wide range of drinks including, Robert Oatley Wines, Mermaid and Salcombe gin, and beer and ale on tap. Venue Specifications
Named after acclaimed Cowes photographers Alfred Edward and Frank Beken, the Beken Room is perfect for a private celebration or intimate dinner. With warm and comfortable seating areas to enjoy some piece and quite, the Beken Room can also be used to host meetings and smaller conferences. Hire charge: £50. Seats between 12 and 20 people.
The Centenary Room is located at the top of the Sailing Club. Including a private Mermaid Bar, should you require it, this space is ideal for small drinks receptions, intimate lunches or dinners, and can be used for business meetings. A television can be utilised for presentations and instructional videos, or to watch your favourite sport in a quieter, more private setting. Hire charge: £60 half day, £100 full day. Seats up to 24 people.
Directly overlooking the eastern Solent, the Conservatory is our prime dining area with 180-degree views. The Conservatory is perfectly suited to intimate celebrations and/or a small formal dining experience. Hire charge: POA. Exclusive use requires a minimum of 20 people and maximum of 22 people.
The Solent View Terrace and Marquee also includes exclusive use of the Centenary Room and Mermaid Bar. The 700 square foot rooftop balcony boasts uninterrupted views of the Solent and is suitable for drinks parties, buffets, receptions, BBQs and summer weddings. Tabletop drinks can be provided. Hire charge: £250. Suitable for between 50 and 100 people.
Consisting of the main bar, main terrace, cosy bar seating areas and the dining restaurant, the Main Dining Floor and Bar boasts unique views of the eastern Solent. This floor is the perfect space for drinks receptions with canapés, large formal dinners, and/or dance events. We have bespoke partition doors that can separate the bar seating area and restaurant to cater to your needs. This floor is accessible via a lift. Hire charge: POA. Seats 145 people and up to 200 people for a buffet.
The Waterside Marquee is perfectly suited to summer weddings, awards events, drinks receptions, themed parties, finger or seated buffets and BBQs. During the summer months, the back of the Waterside Marquee is opened to reveal our raised pontoon decking. The perfect way to experience the Solent views up-close, especially watching the boats heading in and out of Medina River. Hire charge: £200. Suitable for between 50 and 180 people.
